SMIC is pleased to announce that it has been selected again as a constituent member of the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Benchmark Index. SMIC has been a member of this index since its debut in September 2011.

The Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index Series was created to provide a benchmark for sustainability-focused investment. Companies must demonstrate a high standard of performance in environmental protection, social responsibility and corporate governance in order to be added to the Benchmark Index, which currently has 69 constituents. Index members are reviewed annually for continued inclusion.

SMIC will continue to implement robust governance and compliance systems across all aspects of its operations, and pursue its longstanding commitment to sustainable development, environmental health and safety, and corporate social responsibility.
